Supervision

I offer supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists and to professionals of all types wishing to create a reflective space to improve their practice. I take a particular interest in supervising Transactional Analysis trainees and supporting them through their training and qualification process. As a supervisor I work to balance three core aims.

  • Support for the practitioner in the complexities and challenges of their work.

  • Development of their capacities and skills

  • Consideration of the practicalities of their work to ensure the protection of themselves and the people they work with.

I aim to support supervisees to navigate their experience of being with the people they support. We work to understand the transferences that arise in their work, to better understand their client; and to process and use the ways their own issues arise in their work, to support them to provide a useful therapeutic relationship for their clients.

I work one to one with supervisees on a regular basis, and also offer one off supervisory consultations and supervision groups.
